Ex Libris

An ex libris is a card pasted into a book marking it as the belonging of its owner. On an ex libris, a person could write their name and address in case the book was lost or lent out, or they could include a couple lines of poetry, or a summary. This collection features works of prose poetry, each of which are inspired by classical literary works which have the word “love” in their title, such as Eileen Chang’s Love in a Fallen City and Ivan Turgenev’s First Love.
