A Literary Companion to Xiao Hai’s Adrift in the South

In the poet Xiao Hai's memoir, Adrift in the South, Picun Village as he describes it is like a fairytale land, and its destruction, heartbreaking. On the positive side, a lot of literature did come out of it and continues to, although much of it is yet to be translated into English. The movement itself has been called simply “Worker’s Literature” 打工文學. Throughout his work, the author mentions many of the other writers who attended the same workshops with him. Many of them have published several works to great public recognition and acclaim. I wanted to gather some of the books that Xiao Hai referenced:
